Planning your little one\u2019s birthday party? Cut down on processed and sugar-laden treats by adding these yummy fruit-packed snacks to the party table \u2013 everyone will love them!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
FRUITY PANCAKE ROLY-POLY<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Finger foods are always a good idea at children\u2019s parties \u2013 it means that little ones can simply help themselves, and bite-sized portions mean less food waste. These roly-polies are so easy to make and can be prepped ahead. You can offer hungry little party guests a variety of taste sensations by spreading each pancake with a different Squish 100% Fruit Puree<\/strong> flavour. These taste particularly delicious with Summer Berries, Mango + Banana<\/strong> and Pear<\/strong>. You can use any leftover Squish puree you have in the fridge to make dipping sauces for the roly-polies. All Squish pouches come with a screw-on lid \u2013 that means you can just use what you need then pop the rest in the fridge to use later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 eggs<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 Tbsp milk<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 x 110ml Squish 100 % Fruit Puree<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 Tbsp cream cheese<\/p>\n\n\n\n Method<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whisk eggs and milk together in a bowl. Pour a thin layer of mixture into a small (18cm pan) non-stick pan on medium heat and cook until batter is set. Repeat until batter is finished. Set pancakes aside and allow to cool slightly. Once you have finished cooking the batch, smear each pancake with cream cheese and a generous layer of puree. Roll up and slice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n TIP:<\/strong> This is also a great lunchbox snack. These frozen bananas are smothered in yoghurt and Squish 100% Fruit Puree<\/strong> and can be made the night before the big day and kept in the freezer. That means no colourants, flavourants or preservatives \u2013 and no added sugar or starch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 Bananas<\/p>\n\n\n\n 125 ml plain yoghurt<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 x 110ml Squish 100% Fruit Puree<\/strong> pouch \u2013 pick your little one\u2019s favourite fruit flavour<\/p>\n\n\n\n Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Slice two bananas in half horizontally. Insert a wooden skewer carefully into the one end of each banana slice and place on a lined baking sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Mix together 125 ml plain yoghurt and your favourite Squish 100% Fruit Puree<\/strong> pouch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Spread the yoghurt and fruit mix over the bananas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Freeze for 20-40 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n TIP<\/strong>: Before putting the bananas in the freezer, add some sprinkles for a little party-time fun!<\/p>\n\n\n\n MINI BANANA MUFFINS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n These fruit-filled muffins freeze well, so you can bake a batch and freeze ahead to cut down on party-day prep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 375 ml (1\u00bd C) cake flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n 7.5 ml (1\u00bd tsp) baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5 ml (1 tsp) bicarbonate of soda<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5 ml (1 tsp) ground cinnamon<\/p>\n\n\n\n 125 ml (\u00bd C) brown sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 egg<\/p>\n\n\n\n 65 ml (\u00bc C) sunflower oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 x 110 ml Squish 100% Banana + Apple Puree<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 x 110 ml Squish 100% Apple Puree<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Sift flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon into a large mixing bowl.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Stir in the brown sugar. Mix the egg and the oil together and stir in the purees. Add the puree mixture to the dry ingredients and fold gently until just mixed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Spoon the muffin batter into a muffin tray that has been lined with paper muffin cups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Bake the muffins in an oven that has been preheated to 180\u02daC for 15 minutes or until the muffins are golden and firm to the touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n TIP:<\/strong> To make these muffins even more fruity, add finely chopped dried fruit or raisins to the batter before baking.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Planning your little one\u2019s birthday party?
