Being able to pick up and eat food on their own is an important step in your child\u2019s developmental journey, plus it gives them a sense of independence. These nutritious finger food recipes are quick and easy to make \u2013 and your child will enjoy every bite!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 4-INGREDIENT PANCAKE ROLY-POLY <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Strapped for time? These delicious little roll-ups are made with only 4 ingredients and are the perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Squish 100% Fruit and Veg Purees<\/strong> are a smart choice for busy parents \u2013 they\u2019re packed full of quality fruit and veg and contain no colourants, flavourants and preservatives. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 eggs<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 Tbsp milk <\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 x 110ml Squish 100% Pear + Sweet Potato Puree <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 3 Tbsp cream cheese <\/p>\n\n\n\n Method<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whisk eggs and milk together in a bowl. Pour a thin layer of mixture into a small (18cm pan) non-stick pan on medium heat and cook until batter is set. Repeat until batter is finished. Set pancakes aside and allow to cool slightly. Once you have finished cooking the batch, smear each pancake with cream cheese and a generous layer of Squish 100% Pear + Sweet Potato Puree<\/strong>. Roll up and slice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n TIP:<\/strong> Got some leftover Squish 100% Fruit and Veg Puree<\/strong> in the fridge? Place it in a small bowl so that your little one can use as a dipping sauce. Yum!<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 POTATO POPS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n This is a great way to use up any leftover mash you have in the fridge to create a delicious supper for your toddler \u2013 and because these pops taste just as good cold, they make an excellent lunchbox filler. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ingredient<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 cups mashed potato<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 x 110 ml Squish 100% Butternut + Carrot Puree <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 cup grated cheddar cheese<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 egg<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 cup + 3 Tbsp breadcrumbs<\/p>\n\n\n\n salt and pepper<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 Tbsp sunflower oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In a large bowl, combine the mash, Squish 100% Butternut + Carrot Puree<\/strong> and cheese. Add the egg and 3 Tbsp of breadcrumbs and mix well. Season to taste. Shape into balls and roll in breadcrumbs. Heat the oil in a non-stick frying pan. Fry the potato pops in batches for 3 to 4 minutes until golden brown. <\/p>\n\n\n\n TIP: These can also be cooked on a baking tray in the oven at 180\u00b0C for 15 minutes or in an air fryer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 SNEAKY VEG-LOADED WAFFLES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n These waffles are a great choice for picky eaters \u2013 they won\u2019t even realise that they\u2019re loaded with healthy fruit and veg! We used Squish 100%<\/strong> Apple, Beetroot + Guava Puree <\/strong>but you could try any of the Squish flavours, <\/strong>like Mixed Veg, Summer Berries, <\/strong>or Apple + Guava.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 x 110ml Squish 100%<\/strong> Apple, Beetroot + Guava Puree<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 cup buttermilk <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 cups all-purpose flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n 2 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n 1 pinch salt <\/p>\n\n\n\n Method\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Combine ingredients in a mixing bowl and allow to stand for half an hour.
