Fruity playdate treats<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Playdates don\u2019t need to be fuelled by sugar! Instead, offer little ones these fruit-laden playtime snacks that are both healthy and delicious. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 BANANASICLES<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
These fun Bananasicles give ice lollies a real fruit twist that little ones can\u2019t resist! Bananas are coated in a mix of yoghurt and Squish 100% Fruit Puree<\/strong> then popped in the freezer to create a naturally delicious treat. You can finish off with hundreds and thousands or chocolate sprinkles for added appeal. Squish 100% Fruit and Veggie Purees<\/strong> are a smart and convenient choice for busy parents. Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
2 bananas<\/p>\n\n\n\n
125ml plain yoghurt <\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 x 110ml Squish 100% Fruit Puree <\/strong>\u2013 pick your little one\u2019s favourite fruit flavour like Summer Berries, Apple + Guava<\/strong> or Fruit Salad.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sprinkles (optional)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Slice two bananas in half lengthways. Insert a wooden skewer carefully into the one end of each banana slice and place on a lined baking sheet. Mix together 125ml plain yoghurt and your favourite Squish 100% Fruit Puree<\/strong> pouch. Spread the yoghurt and fruit mix over the bananas and decorate with sprinkles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Freeze for 20-40 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
TIP:<\/strong> Turn making the Banansicles into a playdate activity. Get the toddlers to help add the sprinkles when they arrive, then put the bananas in the freezer for them to enjoy after an hour of play. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 MINI BANANA MUFFINS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
These fruit-loaded muffins freeze well, so bake a batch and freeze ahead so that you always have a tasty snack on hand when little ones get hungry. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
1\u00bd cups cake flour<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1\u00bd tsp baking powder<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 tsp ground cinnamon<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00bd cup brown sugar<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 egg<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u00bc cup sunflower oil<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 x 110 ml Squish 100% Pear Puree<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
1 x 110 ml Squish 100% Apple Puree<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Method<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sift flour, baking powder, bicarbonate of soda and cinnamon into a large mixing bowl. Stir in the brown sugar. Mix the egg and oil together and stir in Squish 100% Pear Puree<\/strong> and Squish 100% Apple Puree<\/strong>. Add the puree mixture to the dry ingredients and fold gently until just mixed. Spoon the muffin batter into a muffin tray that has been lined with paper muffin cups. Bake the muffins in an oven that has been preheated to 180\u02daC for 15 minutes or until the muffins are golden and firm to the touch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
